Everyone keep in mind this is not Loveland LeMans were everything is a equal as possible. Her is the point of this commercial is for Lincoln to try and re-invest themselves. We all can agree in the past, if you were any type of a driver WE would never even think about buying a Lincoln we would look to the car companies in this competition. Lincoln is just answering what I even said. Yeah right the new Lincoln is as good as my Audi s4. I bet as soon as a corner comes around, bla bla . But after test driving one yesterday. Damn, this is the real deal.So in short next year I wil put the Lincoln in the consideration pool. As before this car I would have put it in teh old man pool

yeah, cobra, but as far as i know, the other vehicles don't come with awd.  aren't we comparing vehicles here?  how they perform?  whether one comes with awd or rwd is up to the manufacturer.  not sure what your point is....

I've just wasted a half hour watching an infomercial.  This thing was so skewed to favor the MKS as to make it entirely meaningless and just what I would expect from Automobile and Motor Trend magazines.  These guys are "Lifestyle" consumer magazines and are in no way "enthusiast" magazines where this test would have at least had a chance to be unbiased.  If they'd tested the eco-boast (intended) against the sport models of the other cars there would be Lincoln blood on the Loveland Pass.  They used a dual-turbo, All-wheel-drive with sport package against the base models of the others.  Just plain old advertising masquerading as a road test.   A pure waste of my time and it actually gave me a bad taste for Lincoln products, of which I've owned several in the past, but never again.

The additional weight for the E550 vs E550 4matic is under 200 lbs.  The one 180 degree corner is marked for 20 mph.  With an AWD car you can do it at about 35-40 without wheel spin or the traction control coming on.  The E550 has stability control at ALL speeds that you cannot completely turn off.  With almost 400 lb. ft. of torque, stability and traction control will definitely limit power out of the curve and cost you at least a second there alone.  AWD more than compensates for the additional 200 lbs.  This "comparison test"  is skewed to favor the Ford with its turbos and AWD.  Notice that nowhere is the fact that the MKS is the only car tested with AWD disclosed.

what about the added weight of awd?  i think awd vs rwd in an uphill speed climb is a wash considering the added weight.
